Appointments can be made in person, over the telephone or online via HotDoc. We accommodate urgent appointments even if we are fully booked.

How appointments work

  • Consultations with Doctors and Nurse are by appointment only
  • Appointments can be made in person, over the telephone or online via HotDoc
  • One appointment is required per family member
  • Specific times are allocated for all appointments including procedures
  • Patients are able to request their preferred Doctor when making appointments
  • The receptions staff will advise if the Doctor is running late
  • HMC accommodates urgent appointments even if we are fully booked
  • If you have a mobile number registered with HMC you will receive an SMS Appointment Reminder message 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • If you do not attend your appointment you may be charged a Fail to Attend Fee.

Consultation

Bulk billing practice

Hay Medical Centre is a bulk billing practice. This means that eligible Medicare services provided at Hay Medical Centre are generally billed directly to Medicare, with no out-of-pocket fee for standard consultations.

Please ensure you bring your valid Medicare card to each appointment.

Procedures

Some procedures may attract a fee

Please speak with your doctor or our reception team before your procedure to confirm whether any fees apply.
