Appointments can be made in person, over the telephone or online via HotDoc. We accommodate urgent appointments even if we are fully booked.

How appointments work
- Consultations with Doctors and Nurse are by appointment only
- Appointments can be made in person, over the telephone or online via HotDoc
- One appointment is required per family member
- Specific times are allocated for all appointments including procedures
- Patients are able to request their preferred Doctor when making appointments
- The receptions staff will advise if the Doctor is running late
- HMC accommodates urgent appointments even if we are fully booked
- If you have a mobile number registered with HMC you will receive an SMS Appointment Reminder message 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- If you do not attend your appointment you may be charged a Fail to Attend Fee.
Consultation
Bulk billing practice
Hay Medical Centre is a bulk billing practice. This means that eligible Medicare services provided at Hay Medical Centre are generally billed directly to Medicare, with no out-of-pocket fee for standard consultations.
Please ensure you bring your valid Medicare card to each appointment.
Procedures
Some procedures may attract a fee
Please speak with your doctor or our reception team before your procedure to confirm whether any fees apply.
